The Indie Virus

The Indie Virus was originated by the Pearsonified blog. It's an experiment (call it a meme if you want) to see how the readers of the blogosphere can expose the soft-underbelly of great content on the web. I've been thinking about this very issue, as evidenced by my recent post on the 3 Types of Blogs.

So I read a lot of blogs that fit the ideal of this project. Who should I choose? I decided to spotlight a couple of blogs by people who have either said very nice things about this blog or in some other way exposed other people to the three-ring circus I like to call ICE.

So here they are:

  • The Indie Virus is embodied by User Centered. Author ElCid (an alias I am guessing) said he likes the way we write here. Cough syrup, bug spray and Skittles will make anyone more entertaining. It's our writing secret. Shhhhh. Don't tell.
  • If anyone deserves to be labeled "The Indie Virus" it is the Brand Builder blog. The author of this blog said some very nice things about the ICE. I blushed.
  • If I had to hand out The Indie Virus Award, it would go to this guy who's name is apparently Mark..at least a little bit. Mark is participating in the Four Things meme where you list four things (duh) in a couple of different categories. Mark listed our very own tag generator as the number one site he visits every day. Outrageous! Short of having ICE be labeled as The Indie Virus by someone else, this has to be the highest honor I have ever received. Well, notwithstanding the trophy I won in 4th grade for winning the Science Fair by creating a windmill out of Tinker Toys. That's pretty special too.

So, that is my entry in The Indie Virus game. Omigod. I typed "The Indie Virus" and didn't link it anywhere. Crap. I did it again. I gotta stop.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. If you want to play along with this meme and tag your blog posts, you are free to use The Indie Virus Unofficial Tag Generator. But Mark gets to go first.

Yep, every day, sometimes twice a day when I'm really inspired to write! It's now a habit before I hit "send" on my posts. Thanks for the tool, and the kind words.

Yep- it's an alias. My name is Eddie :) Although I do think I'm Charlton Heston on rare occasions when I'm monologging.

Kind Words for ICE

Three easy steps for generating blog tag codes...Visit the Improving Customer Experience site.

Just about everything Eric writes is worthy of your attention, so...go check out his little gem of a blog. You won't be sorry.

Normally I put interesting Long Tail comment that I've found elsewhere in my sidebar, but this one was too good to thumbnail.

ICE beat me to the punch here, but that's alright since I LOVE the writing style there.

How's your blob going?
